Neoclassic and Modern Classic

In a modern music approach, the term 'Neoclassic' typically refers to a piano-centered music with a predominant aesthetic that evokes an atmospheric sound. The prominent sound characteristics are calm, consonant, and peaceful. Many people attribute a meditative quality to the music, and it tends to make quiet sounds more perceptible. Most neoclassical pieces shouldn't be viewed as typical pen to paper compositions, because they blend digital sound production with analog instruments. The process of music production is part of the composition. The genre also seeks the use of alternative playing techniques, field recordings, and sound design.

I feel drawn to this genre, and many of my instrumental pieces can be viewed within the neoclassical genre. Nevertheless, I believe in the freedom of genres and sometimes I try to expand the borders of my writing into a more alternative, complex, faster, and louder direction that most people wouldn't attribute to neoclassical music. This is where the term 'Modern Classical' becomes important, since it allows the composer to move fluently between several stylistic approaches.

Instrumental works

My career has seen lots of changes lately and I'm busy preparing many instrumental releases for the upcoming year 2025. I'm very excited to share some great music videos, interesting neoclassical works and also interdisciplinary collaborations with authors from all over the world!

The Music

for these plays is either based on surround installations behind the audience and on stage, or intimate piano and string textures that provide access to a second way of interpreting the characters. While the surround soundscapes are working with a heavily processed approach to sounddesign, urban and experimental music, the piano writing is based on modern classical music.
